Beginner’s Quilting Class

Dive into the world of sewing with our  Beginner’s Quilting Class, designed to introduce you to the fundamentals of this rewarding craft. Whether you’re completely new to sewing or just want to refresh your quilting skills, this class will equip you with the skills and confidence to start creating your own projects.  We take it one step at a time so that learning is more fun!

In this hands-on class, you’ll learn:

Basic Quilting Techniques: We’ll cover everything from the very beginning.  Learning types/sizes/use of machine needles, weights of thread, ways of choosing the right fabric, precise cutting techniques using templates/rulers, marking, lining up seams, pressing and much more.  

Project-Based Learning: Put your new skills to the test by working on a simple yet stylish project. 

Tips and Tricks: Benefit from expert tips on troubleshooting common issues, maintaining your sewing machine, and making your sewing experience smoother and more enjoyable.

Class Details:  This class is 5 weeks long, once per week for 4 hours each class 

What to Bring: Just bring your enthusiasm, working sewing machine with accessories and machine instruction book.  Basic sewing accessories, such as; sewing scissors, rotary cutter w/mat, seam ripper, straight pins, marking pens etc...  A list of supplies for class will be sent out to you in advance before class starts.
